PRE -PRODUCTION

As Director, I was involved a lot in the pre production stages of the film. Since I knew what I wanted the film to look like, I ensured that everything was organised so I could translate the film properly when it came to production. From casting the right actress to liaising with the Kent Film Office and the police to ensure I could direct the vision that I wanted to portray for the film. Without the pre production stage, the film could not have been created in the way it has been done. Scouting locations, testing the Ideas and creating a tight shot list enabled me to carry through all the visual imagery on to screen. It allowed me to make adjustments if things needed changing and allowed the production shoot to go as smooth as it could possibly go.

Planning the shot types had a huge influence on the final outcome of the film. With research and inspiration of American TV shows,  and a range of directors like Mike Barker, I emulated that into my planning stages of work by writing a descriptive shot list detailing smooth tracking shots, drone shots and all static shots. I also had planned a range of different framing from Mid Shots, Close Up's, Wides and Longs to give me a variety for when the production will cut.
